How do I find out which phone model I have? (iPhone and Samsung)

You want to order a case or tempered glass, but you're not sure of your phone's exact model? It's a common question, and it's important: an iPhone 15 and an iPhone 15 Pro, or a Galaxy S24 and an S24 FE, look very similar but have different dimensions. Here's how to find your model in 30 seconds.

On an iPhone

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap General, then About.
  3. The Model Name line shows your exact iPhone, for example "iPhone 15 Pro".

This is the name you need to find in the title of the case or tempered glass.

On a Samsung Galaxy

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Scroll down to About phone.
  3. There you will find the model name (for example "Galaxy S24") and a model number that starts with "SM-".

The name is sufficient in most cases. The "SM-" number is useful if you are hesitating between two similar versions.

The most common confusions

  • iPhone 12 and 12 Pro: same size, most "12 / 12 Pro" cases fit both. The 12 Pro Max and 12 mini, however, are different.
  • iPhone 14 and iPhone 15: very similar, but not identical. Get a case marked for your exact model.
  • iPhone 16e and iPhone 17e: some cases are designed for both, which is indicated in the title.
  • "Pro" and "Pro Max" models: the camera module is larger than on the standard model, a standard case will not fit.
  • Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 FE: despite the name, the FE is larger. The same goes for S23 / S23 FE and S21 / S21 FE.
  • Galaxy S, Plus and Ultra: three different sizes in the same series.
  • 4G or 5G: for the Galaxy A, the 4G version and the 5G version sometimes have different dimensions. Check the mention on the product page.
